Clarus Insight is a research service from Clarus Investments, founded in 2006 by Michael Pearson, an international expert on business strategy and corporate development. Clarus Investments works with entrepreneurs and with more established firms, primarily in the financial services industry, to develop strategy and new business opportunities.

The goal of Clarus Insight is to help companies and individuals make better use of information and knowledge for strategic decisions. We have a particular focus on best practices and strategic insights and have worked with leading financial services organisations such as the European Financial Management & Marketing Association (EFMA).

Michael Pearson has nearly 25 years experience working for and advising financial institutions worldwide. For example, at LEK Consulting he worked on mergers & acquisitions and restructuring projects in financial services and other sectors, and then set up and ran a new ventures division for Lloyds TSB. More recently, with Clarus Investments, he has advised start-ups, private equity investors, and financial institutions. He has an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Clarus Investments and Clarus Insight are named after the place Clarus, which was in the territory of Colophon on the Ionian coast of Asia Minor. Clarus was known throughout the Mediterranean for its oracle, who delivered her prophesies in the Temple of Apollo. (Source: Wikipedia)
